A Year In Review | My Favorite Images of 2025
I blinked, and 2025 was here and gone.
This year, I turned 30. Celebrated 5 years of marriage. Succeeded in keeping a tiny human alive so he could celebrate his first birthday. I got my first tattoo (I’m basically a badass now).
Some more stats for this year:
📸 233,251 Images Taken
💌 28,889 Images Delivered
✅ 33 Sessions
💍 27 Weddings
💾 9.2 Terabytes of Photos and Videos Stored
🖼️ 1,062 Album pages printed for my couples (physical heirlooms 🔥)
♾️ Diapers Changed
All those numbers mean nothing without this truth: I am so unbelievably lucky to have this as my job. I wake up every morning in disbelief that I get to serve you amazing people day in and day out. My couples are beautiful, vibrant, hilarious, warm, and joyful humans that make wedding days a treat and the hours spent behind a camera or in front of a laptop screen so, so worth it.
This year, my job took me all around the midwest, as well as Texas, Valle de Guadalupe Mexico (with my good buddy Tom), and Colorado. Every time I left the house, my amazing best friend - who is also my wife, Becca - supported me every step of the way. She is my absolute favorite person in the whole wide world and is the only reason I’m able to do this work, as long as I bring home a treat on my way back from a session.
This post is another year in the archive of my life’s work, and these images are as much a piece of my soul as they are capturing the souls of the humans within. Sprinkled throughout, you’ll find photos of my son August, as he’s grown this year. He started as a little smiley blob, figured out he liked bananas and hiking, and continues to surprise and delight us every day!
Onwards and upwards into 2026.
“To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life.”
Who knows what 2026 (and beyond) will have in store, but if you want a photographer, and photos, that are the good kind of weird… I’m your guy!
